To create The Flintlock Batch No. 2, J.J. Corry Irish Whiskey selected three single malt ex-bourbon casks, each from the same distillery, from their library of sourced Irish Whiskey flavours. Aged fourteen and eighteen years, each single malt was chosen based on its unique flavour profile and attributes. Then, just like J.J. Corry would have done in his shop, they married them together to compliment the unique J.J. Corry house style.
The result is a bright, fruit-forward Single Malt Irish Whiskey bursting with white stone fruit flavours, mellowed with rich toasted vanilla and almond notes. The Flintlock No. 2 is bottled at 46% ABV without any artificial colouring or chill-filtration.
The Flintlock Batch No. 2 is named after a pistol found in the rafters of a 17th-century barn on the McGuane family farm. The pistol dates back to the 1790s, a time of freedom fighting in Ireland showing that independent thinking has always been important in the West of Ireland.
