Behold, the oldest whiskey from WhistlePig to date! The 18 Year Old Double Malt is the result of experimentation with grains - specifically, malting rye. It's not a particularly common thing, but the result seems to be rather wonderful indeed. This expression is built from 79% rye, 15% malted rye and 6% malted barley, and has been matured for 18 years before bottling.
The Vermont Glass stopper was hand pressed on one of the last remaining 19th century glass pressing machines, rescued from a historic factory and installed at AO's Burlington glass studio the same week our second still was installed at the WhistlePig Farm.
Each Grain Plays A Role.
